After 20 years of solely using commercially-licensed images for their highly popular American Humane Association holiday card lines, the Baltimore-based Holiday Card Center is pleased to be launching its first-ever “Pet Pix” campaign -- inviting pet lovers across the country to submit personally-owned “awww”-inspiring photographs of their treasured cats and dogs. The Holiday Card Center is hoping to receive a multitude of captivating photos that could very well end up on the face of one of their Christmas, general holiday, or all-season greeting cards one day, beginning in 2012.
In addition to bragging rights, the submitter of any selected photo will receive 100 free cards and matching envelopes for their personal use, free imprinting, and an optional credit line on the back of all printed cards containing their image -- plus the knowledge that they are helping to support the American Humane Association in a truly unique way.
By going directly to www.holidaycardcenter.org/aha_pix, participants will be guided through a very easy process to submit their digital photos, and will find helpful submission guidelines, as well. No purchase is required to participate and no official deadline has been set by the Holiday Card Center, as they seek potential winning images all year round.
The American Humane Association operates their Holiday Card Program through a licensing agreement with the Holiday Card Center, who is responsible for all creative, marketing, production, fulfillment of orders and customer service – all proudly managed and produced in the USA. The 20-year program generates a minimum of $250,000 annually to benefit AHA’s mission, and inspires the sale and circulation of over 2 million cards each season, all carrying the American Humane logo into homes and offices throughout the United States and the world.
Tim Redden, Senior Director, Philanthropic Services for American Humane Association, recently shared: “We are very excited that the Holiday Card Center is providing dog and cat lovers an opportunity to participate in our Holiday Card program’s creative process! Following on the heels of our Hero Dog campaign (www.herodogawards.org), this is yet another way for our supporters to be a dynamic part of our programs and mission success.”
