Ashley Rhodes-Courter

National Ambassador

A former long-term foster kid, Ashley Rhodes-Courter is now a committed advocate for improved foster care and increased adoption. She wrote the "New York Times" Best Selling memoir "Three Little Words" about her foster care experiences and serves on several child welfare boards for national organizations.

"Since I grew up in foster care, I know firsthand what it's like to be a voiceless victim. I am thrilled to be a part of the work American Humane Association is doing, because, without their efforts, thousands of other children and animals would have no one else to speak up for them …."

Co-star of TV Land's "Hot in Cleveland" and winner of seven Emmy® awards, Betty White is President Emeritus of Morris Animal Foundation , national spokesperson for Guide Dogs for the Blind and caretaker to her adopted dog, Pontiac.

"I just love dogs and all they do for people. I am so happy to be a presenter for the first ever American Humane Association Hero Dog Awards."  

Debbye Turner Bell

A veterinarian by trade, Debbye Turner Bell was crowned Miss America in 1990. She is now a staff correspondent for CBS News and has served on many boards, including the National Council on Youth Leadership and the National Advisory Child Health and Human Development Council. 

Fabio Viviani

A native Italian, Fabio Viviani appeared in two seasons of Bravo's reality series "Top Chef" and was named "Fan Favorite." He uses his reputation as a chef and restaurateur to promote the use of humanely raised food.

"It is important not only to eat right, but also to do right when it comes to the food we put on our tables. Whether you're buying milk, cheese, eggs, yogurt or meat, it is important to buy food from farms that treat their animals humanely."  

Martha Stewart

A home-making guru and TV star, Martha Stewart has long been an advocate for animal adoption, proper pet care and human-animal interaction. She created the Martha Stewart Center for Living, which helps the aging individuals through animal-assisted therapy and other programs.

"American Humane Association protects the most vulnerable among us and is true to the ideals — safety, shelter, protection — that I try to advance in my life and work."  

Orlando Brown

Best known for his portrayal of Eddie Thomas in the Disney Channel's "That's So Raven," Orlando Brown is a role model for kids and an avid animal-lover. He has appeared in the television shows "Family Matters," "The Jamie Foxx Show," "Coach" and "Sister, Sister," and the movie "Major Payne."

"There are many things I love in this world; music, acting and animals are at the top of that list. I hope that through my ambassadorship, I will inspire people to give more love to those who need it most."  

Pippa Black

Pippa Black stars in the NBC comedy series, "Outsourced," as Tonya, an Australian running the Koala Air call center in India. She has been involved with the Narre Warren Lighthouse Foundation, which supports homeless youth in Australia, and is an advocate for vegetarianism.

Rin Tin Tin is the 14th generation relative of a puppy found on the WWI battlefield in France. He is the 8th generational relative of the Rin Tin Tin animal actor that starred in the popular children’s series on TV in the 1960s and was the highest paid animal actor at that time.

Rin Tin Tin, today, IS Rin Tin Tin, a certified animal in service to a canine unit.

Stacie Turner

Famous for her role in the reality TV series "Real Housewives of D.C.," Stacie Turner is a life-long advocate for children. She was once in foster care and is now founder of Extra-Ordinary Life, an organization that supports teenage girls in foster care.

"I'm honored to serve as a National Ambassador for American Humane Association, an organization whose work and objectives are near and dear to my heart."

Steve Dale

A certified animal behavior consultant, Steve Dale writes a syndicated newspaper column and hosts two nationally syndicated radio shows, "Steve Dale's Pet World" and "The Pet Minute." He has appeared on "The Oprah Winfrey Show," "National Geographic Explorer" and "CNN Headline News."

Temple Grandin

A pioneer for the ethical treatment of animals, Temple Grandin, Ph.D., has designed groundbreaking livestock-handling systems that reduce stress on animals. She was honored for being an inspiration to people with autism as one of "Time" magazine's 100 people who most affect our world. Her inspirational life story was the subject of an award-winning HBO film, "Temple Grandin," starring Claire Danes. She is a professor of animal science at Colorado State University, a best-selling author and a much sought-after speaker.

New York City socialite and handbag designer, Tinsley Mortimer has been featured in Vogue, Harper's Bazaar and Marie Claire magazines. She has appeared on TV programs, including "Access Hollywood," "America's Next Top Model" and the reality show "High Society." She has two adopted Chihuahuas named Bebe and Bella.

A longtime friend of American Humane Association, he is involved in many animal welfare organizations, including the NYC Animal Care & Control. He has authored a historical romance novel, The Princess of Nowhere.
